Lella Boutique blames her mother for the inevitability that she should become a quilter. Being predisposed to sewing and design knowledge since she was a little girl, Lella Boutique became a full-blown quilt addict by the time she was sixteen years old. Inspired by her childhood memories about a sweet, pink toddler dress that her mom made for her to twirl around in, she called her design company Lella Boutique – “Lella” being her way of saying “Cinderella” at that young age. She could think of no sweeter emblem than that beloved dress to remind her to incorporate all of those wonderful childhood elements into her creative process.
