Melissa Polomsky is the artist, creative, and entrepreneur behind The Artwerks. After graduating with her BFA in Studio Art and Art History in 2012, Melissa began her business selling her original artworks online to collectors from all over the world. After several requests from clients to offer her artwork on home decor items, fabrics, and clothing, she began to transform many of her original paintings into modern & unique patterns for textiles. She is best known for her use of bright & vibrant colors to create dramatic floral prints. You can find Melissa these days in her studio surrounded by acrylics, watercolor, gouache, torn paper for collages, beads, yarn, markers, and more!

Always loving to experiment with new mediums & different techniques, she loves to document her creative process and showcases all of her works in progress, creative hobbies, and her technicolor life via her Facebook and Instagram accounts @TheArtwerks. She currently works from her studio located The Woodlands, Texas and lives with her husband, daughter, two dogs, and one cat.
